COLOMBIA EXCELSO

Description

A dense body and high sweetness, and a mild fruit flavor, and with a slight pleasant sourness of red wine. This is a strong, perfectly balanced coffee, with a light bread aftertaste.

Colombia is the second largest coffee producer in the world and the largest manufacturer of washing and coffee arabica. They are well known for their high-quality coffee and about half of their exports come to the United States. Colombia exports about 12.5 million bags, and domestic consumption is about 2 million bags per year.

Colombian Arabica is grown on the mountain slopes of the Cordillera, in the foothills of the Andes at altitudes of 1000-2000 meters above sea level. Colombia Excelso is a mono-grade plantation coffee, which has a particularly large grain size and a complex bouquet.

“Excelso” is the term for exported coffee from Colombia, not related to the variety or profile of the cupping. EP (European Preparation) indicates that raw beans are sorted manually to remove any defective beans and foreign materials. Excelso coffee beans are large. Colombian coffee is sorted before shipment depending on the size of the beans. It is possible that the coffee beans Supremo and Excelso are assembled from the same tree, but they are sorted by size. The largest volume of exported coffee is Excelso. These beans include dense beans from good to large and some peas.

Fruits are processed by the wet method, during which the pulp is separated from the grains with water. After that, the ready-made drink becomes more tender and softer, but the saturation of its aroma does not decrease. This variety has a special rich in hints of acidity, exquisite taste of medium density, bright bouquet and pure, sweet aftertaste.
